The five Session 3 prompts

Copy and paste into any AI assistant. Fill in the brackets [ ] yourself.

3.1

The letter

Your profile is lines 1 and 2. You only write what you want and in what shape. The last sentence matters most.

Here is who I am: [paste your profile]. I want a letter to [recipient: landlord / school / employer / office]: [the facts, with exact dates and what you have already done]. In [the recipient's language], [tone: polite / firm / warm], [length], ready to send by [email / post / WhatsApp]. If it is not in my language, add a translation underneath so I know what I am signing. Do not cite any law and do not invent any date or fact.

3.2

The tone

One line changes the tone. The facts do not move: tell it so.

Same letter, but [firmer / more polite / shorter / warmer / less cold]. [What you want to add: a deadline, a reminder, a thank-you.] Do not change any fact: dates, amounts and names stay exactly the same.

3.3

The translation

For an announcement, a group message, a letter. Very good between French and English, less good into Lingala.

Translate this text into [language], for [audience: family / the community / a school]. Keep dates, times, places, names and numbers exactly as they are. If a word has no equivalent, keep it and flag it in brackets. Add nothing and remove nothing. [your text]

3.4

The round trip

In a new chat, so it cannot remember the original. Then compare, in this order: the date, the times, the places, the amounts, the names, the tone.

Translate this text into [your language], as faithfully as possible, word for word if needed, without improving it. [the translated text]

3.5

What did you add?

Born live on October 3. In the same chat, right after the letter. Read its list before you type the second line.

Reread your letter. Tell me everything you added that I did not tell you.

Remove everything I did not tell you. Do not change any fact.

The rule that goes with it: for an official document (immigration, court, medical), AI helps you understand, never produces the official version. That takes a lawyer or a certified translator.

Session 3 in one sentence: your profile plus one line gives you a letter; but you only send it after you have read it.

This week

Send one real letter written with AI

3.1 to write it, 3.5 before you send it, and one read-through out loud.

These prompts are entries 3.1 to 3.5 of the series library. 3.5 was born during the class: it is the question to ask before anything goes out. Sessions 1 and 2 entries are on their own pages.
